Key Responsibilities:Prepare and process import and export customs documentation for fine art shipmentsEnsure compliance with international customs regulations, tariffs, and licensing for artworksCoordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and regulatory bodies to ensure timely clearancesClassify artworks using appropriate HS codes and apply relevant duty exemptionsMonitor and manage temporary import/export regimes.Advise internal teams and clients on customs procedures, documentation requirements, and restrictionsLiaise with registrars, museums, galleries, and private collectors to gather accurate shipment informationTrack and resolve customs holds, inspections, or discrepancies to minimise shipment delaysMaintain up-to-date knowledge of global trade regulations specific to art and cultural propertyMaintain detailed records for audits and internal reporting purposesSupport the logistics team with documentation for multi-modal transport (air, sea, and road)Contribute to the development of customs compliance policiesRequirements:Proven experience in customs clearance, preferably within the fine art, luxury, or high-value goods sectorIn-depth knowledge of international trade laws, customs regulations, and tariff classificationsFamiliarity with cultural property export/import restrictions and CITES documentation. Strong organisational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneouslyProficiency with customs and logistics platformsKnowledge of Incoterms and international shipping practices
