This is an excellent opportunity to work with a forward-thinking company dedicated to making renewable energy accessible and efficient for all.Job Summary:We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious Solar Roofers to install and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) panels on residential and commercial rooftops to work as part of a team. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality workmanship and adhere to safety standards while working at heights.Key Responsibilities:Solar Panel Installation: Securely install solar panels and mounting systems on various roof types, ensuring structural integrity and alignment.Roof Preparation: Assess and prepare roofs for solar installations, including minor repairs or modifications as needed.Weatherproofing: Ensure all installations are weatherproof and maintain the roof's structural integrity.Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while working at heights.Collaboration: Work closely with electricians and project managers to ensure seamless integration of solar PV systems.Maintenance and Repairs: Perform regular inspections and maintenance on solar panels to identify and fix any issues.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, roof assessments, and completed tasks.Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with customers, explaining the installation process and addressing any concerns.Qualifications:Essential:Experience in roofing, including working with tile, slate, and flat roofs.Working at Heights certification.Knowledge of solar PV mounting systems.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Full UK driving license.Desirable:NFRC (National federation of roofing contractors)NVQExperience in solar panel installations.CSCS card or equivalent.SSSTS/SMSTS preferredManual Handling certification.Scaffold awareness certificateAsbestos awarenessFirst AidWhat We Offer:Competitive SalariesSick payHoliday pay plus bank holidaysPrivate Health CareFree Parking onsiteEmployee Reward SchemePension SchemeTraining OpportunitiesPDR Appraisal programmeIf you are interested in this vacancy, we would like to hear from you.
