We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority based in Greater Manchester, who are recruiting for a Prosecutions Lawyer on an initial 3-month locum contract.All potential applicants are encouraged to scroll through and read the complete job description before applying.They are looking for someone on a full-time basis, and the rate of pay is negotiable between 50 - 65 p/hour via an Umbrella company.The ideal candidate will have experience managing prosecutions and enforcement matters, from initial inception through to court advocacy.Duties will include (but are not limited to): Handling a varied caseload of Criminal Litigation matters and Prosecutions on behalf of the CouncilAdvising in respect of selective and additional licensing schemes and enforcement workConducting advocacy as required in relation to cases involving anti-social behaviour, trading standards, environmental health and licensing mattersExperience required:Experience required in Local GovernmentHighly confident advocating in courtWorking hours:37 hours per weekMonday Friday, 9am-5pmPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
