A high volume of applicants is expected for the role as detailed below, do not wait to send your CV.Rugby, WarwickshireSalary: 50,000- 55,000T2M Resourcing are currently working alongside an innovative engineering company to help them to recruit a Senior Buyer.As a Senior Buyer, you will play a key strategic role within UK and global supply chain operations, drive cost reduction initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and support high-value projects.Key Responsibilities as a Senior Buyer:Lead and enhance procurement activities across UK and global markets.Develop procurement systems to improve KPIs and support structured reporting.Set inventory targets, authorise purchases, and ensure components are delivered on time.Drive supplier consolidation and implement group purchasing strategies.Oversee supplier contract management in alignment with business goals, identifying cost-saving opportunities.Streamline material and tooling logistics to meet project timelines and budgets.Provide advice on: Incoterms and pricing, tenders, bids, and customer quotations.Support the procurement of capital equipment and specialised materials for projects.Collaborate with Project Managers on contract evaluations, negotiation of terms, and risk management.Ensure full compliance with regulations and international trade laws for all import/export operations.Maintain precise documentation.Requirements to be a successful Senior Buyer:Attained a degree or professional certification in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline e.g. CIPS level 4 certification.Practical knowledge of FIDIC, NEC3/NEC4, or comparable contract frameworks.A proven track record of supplier relationship management and achieving measurable cost savings.Background in heavy engineering or manufacturing industries.Excellent negotiation skills.Strong problem-solver.
