Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and organised individual to lead and develop our growing educational work. In this role you will plan inspiring events such as our Renaissance Music Weekend and Cathedral Singing Days, develop our Emerging Ensembles programme, build long-term school and choir partnerships, and run engaging composition workshops and competitions. With a strong focus on communication, you’ll also manage enquiries, create media content, and work closely with our charity Trustees to develop funding streams for these initiatives. KEYRESPONSIBILITIES General Plan Renaissance Music Weekends (currently every two years; aiming to deliver twice-yearly in different UK locations). Co-ordinate Emerging Ensembles programme (which aims to equip up-and-coming vocal ensembles with the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to navigate the music industry). Develop a network of schools partnerships (to include regular visits encouraging long-term learning and opportunities for growth). Engage with young composers and organise composition workshops. Foster partnerships with choirs (including collaborative performance opportunities). Expand our Cathedral Singing Days project (currently offered twice-yearly in Lichfield). Communications Handle enquiries through emails and phone calls. Prepare six short reports to include in our newsletter sent to the G6 mailing list. Create media resources for sharing on social media. Office Work with the Trustees and wider team to prepare grant applications for our educationalprogrammes. Prepare resources for participants and members of the ensemble, including sheet music. PERSONALSPECIFICATION Essential Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise a large number of varied tasks Great people skills, able to communicate and negotiate effectively Excellent written English, able to respond tactfully to a wide range of enquiries Quick, efficient and able to work accurately under pressure Strong IT skills, including working with cloud-based storage applications such as Dropbox and Google Drive Desirable Previous experience in education and learning roles A knowledge and understanding of music Application Process In order to apply, please email your CV and a cover letter detailing your suitability for the role to Owain Park: .
