We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager that is looking to take the next step in their career, and to play a pivotal role in the development and success of a regional 5 housebuilder based in Cheshire.To be considered for an interview, please make sure your application is full in line with the job specs as found below.As the Technical Manager, you will report to the Technical Director, and you will be responsible for project managing new developments from acquisition to final adoption.ResponsibilitiesCommissioning of road and sewer design work and arranging for tenderCommissioning ground investigation reports and ascertaining foundation/specific requirementsLiaison with service companies and highway/water company engineersI nstructing consultants/surveying departments to tender and carry out infrastructure worksArranging street lighting designs, costs and services to be completedLiaise with key staff and customers regarding on-going progressSubmit and obtain approval for Building Regulations/Control via NHBC or Local AuthorityReport on all engineering costs for site development targets and monitoring until completionAscertain and agree on costs under collaboration agreementsArranging pre-start meetings with the contractor, agreeing on programme and constraints as appropriateAssisting the Land and Financial teams to ensure Section 106 requirements are met including paymentsCompletion of technical agreements such as S278, S38 and S104 agreements with sewer easements as appropriate, together with service authority contractsTransfer of substation sites and pumping station sites as appropriateArranging postal numbers/street names for developmentsAssisting with setting up management companies for apartments and private roadsArranging surfacing contractors and implementation of remedial works, leading to road/sewers being placed on maintenanceInspection with highway/water company engineers as requiredInspecting roads/sewers to ascertain remedial works prior to adoptionMonitoring costs and referring any defects/issues to the contractorManaging contra charges as requiredArranging for as-built highway/sewer surveys for adoption purposesQualifications / ExperienceDegree in engineering related subjectHave career stability with a reputable housebuilderExperience in managing all technical elements of house buildingExcellent communication and organisational capabilitiesAbility to resolve issues quicklyAble to work as part of a teamPlease apply or reach out to Danny at HBF for further information on this outstanding career development opportunity and join a Luxury Builder as they look to scale over the next few years.TPBN1_UKTJ
