Driven by innovation and quality, Changan is excited to deliver intelligent, stylish, and sustainable mobility solutions tailored for Europe & UK.Do not wait to apply after reading this description a high application volume is expected for this opportunity.Overview of RoleWe are seeking an experienced Technical Trainer to lead the setup of automotive technician training programmes in the UK.Reporting to the Technical Service Manager, the role requires a hands-on approach as we scale the business from the ground up. As the technical trainer, youll have the unique opportunity to use your experience in developing content and delivering training programmes to internal NSC and external dealer staff on the latest vehicle launch inductions, new technologies and repair techniques. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs, evaluating trainee performance, and ensuring our automotive technicians are up-to-date on new tools, equipment, and best practices in the industry.This will be aligned with and supported by the teams in Europe and China and delivered to the same outstanding levels as the Changan product.The role will be based at our NSC in Birmingham.RequirementsProven work experience as an Automotive Master Technician or similar roleCertification from a technical school and/or experience in creating and implementing technical training programmesExtensive knowledge of modern automotive technologies and repair methodsStrong communication and presentation skillsAbility to effectively transfer knowledge and skills to othersPhysical stamina and manual dexteritySystems experience of Excel, Microsoft Office, SAPAbility to build and maintain effective relationshipsAgility and flexibilitySelf-motivation, demonstrate initiative and enthusiasmExcellent communication skills both written & verbalAbility to deal with high pressure situationsCommitment to getting the job done by fixed deadlinesPossess passion for technology and digitilisation in the automotive industryDuties & ResponsibilitiesDesigning and implementing training programmes in line with industry standards and regulationsTeaching about the inspection and repair of various automotive systems, such as engines, brakes, and air-conditioning systemsBest practices on both BEV and ICE vehicle architecturesDemonstrating the use of different tools and equipment used in automotive repair and maintenanceProviding practical instruction on diagnostic techniques and the proper usage of diagnostic equipmentMonitoring and evaluating trainee performance and progress, providing feedback as necessaryStaying updated on the latest developments in the automotive industry and integrating these into the training curriculumAssisting trainees in preparing for certification exams in the automotive fieldEnsuring all training activities adhere to safety standards and regulationsWorking with global teams to develop and maintain training materials and manualsOther FeaturesA culturally enriching role with the opportunity to build something monumental.A diverse, multinational team.Start-up energy within secure corporate structures.Competitive, rewarding compensation package, based on your qualifications and experience.If you are selected for an interview, our recruitment team will contact you directly.
