Job Title:Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist Community (South London) Location: South London Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time (immediate start) Salary: NHS Agenda for Change Band 6 (35,392 - 42,618 per annum, pro rata) with equity in company option Job Summary:We are seeking a motivated and experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join our Community Paediatric SLT team in South London. This is an immediate-start position ideal for a therapist passionate about delivering high-quality, child-centred care in school and home settings. Key Responsibilities:Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based intervention for children with a range of speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN).Manage a diverse community caseload independently, including mainstream and special schools, nurseries, and home visits.Develop and review individualised therapy plans in line with EHCPs and SEND support.Work closely with parents/carers, teachers, SENCOs, and multidisciplinary teams.Provide training, advice, and support to education staff and families.Maintain accurate records and contribute to service audits and clinical governance activities. Essential Criteria:HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist.Enhanced DBS Right to work in UKDegree in Speech and Language Therapy.Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience (Band 5 or equivalent), ideally in paediatrics or community settings.Proven experience supporting children with SLCN, autism, or developmental language disorders.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Strong organisational and communication skills.Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable but not essential).
