An exciting opportunity has arisen at our DP World Contract Logistics site for an experienced Transport Manager to join our team in Stanford-le-Hope, Essex. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of all transport requirements, including managing hauliers, transport planners, and delivery schedules. You will play a key role in maintaining strong customer and carrier relationships, ensuring compliance, and driving transport margins.Interested in this role You can find all the relevant information in the description below.Location: DP World Contract Logistics, Stanford-le-Hope, EssexHours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, this will be a rotating shift pattern between the core hours of 6am and 10pmContract: PermanentHow You Will ContributeAdminister all transport requirements and ensure timely bookings for deliveries.Support operations teams and coordinate hauliers and dispatch timelines.Manage and develop a team of transport planners to ensure all orders are booked, collections are made, and OTIF (On Time In Full) targets are met.Maintain excellent relationships with customers and carriers/hauliers, responding to queries efficiently.Monitor and review weekly haulier KPIs and implement corrective action plans.Ensure delivery rates are competitive and aligned with business goals.Collaborate with the Business Development team to provide carrier/haulier rates and solutions for new business.Ensure all carriers/hauliers meet site health and safety standards and compliance requirements.Maintain effective reporting processes for both internal and external stakeholders.Work closely with the customer services department to manage re-bookings and delivery planning.Drive profitability by managing the P&L and achieving transport margin targets.What You Will BringQualificationsComputer literacy, including experience with warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office tools.Experience & SkillsStrong team leadership and development skills.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent distractions.Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.Logical thinker with the ability to reprioritize tasks independently.Experience in managing transport operations and working with hauliers.CompensationDP World offers exciting and challenging roles within a growing international organization.
