Location: Fleetwood / Fylde and Wyre, Lancashire Job Type: Full-Time Pay Rate: 36.00 LTD per hour or 28.63 PAYE Team Reference: E-322 Family Safeguarding Fylde Coast About the Role Lancashire County Council is seeking a committed and experienced Family Safeguarding Social Worker to join our Fylde Coast team, based in Fleetwood and covering the Fylde and Wyre area. You will play a crucial role in achieving the best outcomes for children and young people, ensuring they are safe, protected from harm, and supported through early intervention and relationship-based social work. Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake social work assessments and direct work with children and families.Deliver timely, strengths-based interventions that promote stability and safety.Work within the Family Safeguarding model alongside multi-agency partners to coordinate and deliver targeted support.Support children and families through a collaborative approach to risk reduction and long-term change.Maintain clear, analytical, and well-documented case records in line with statutory requirements. What We're Looking For Essential:Qualified Social Worker with registration with Social Work England.Proven experience in safeguarding and child protection work.Sound understanding of relevant legislation (e.g., Children Act 1989/2004).Excellent assessment, engagement, and decision-making skills.Commitment to promoting positive outcomes through integrated working.Desirable:Experience working within the Family Safeguarding model.Strong multi-agency working and confident in managing complex cases.
