Logistics Automation EngineerLearn more about the general tasks related to this opportunity below, as well as required skills.What youll doAs a Logistics Automation Engineer, youll be supporting the creation of our global logistics strategy and responsible for specifying, designing and implementing a best-in-class automated logistics operation utilising vast fleets of Automated Guided Vehicles and numerous Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems. This is a hybrid role with an office base in Coventry and some business travel within the UK and abroad.Reporting into the Logistics Engineering Manager, you will:All elements of each ASRS solutions across our UK plant including equipment specification, RFQ evaluation and nomination, detailed design, installation, commissioning and all acceptance testing.Project manage logistics automation suppliers to manage change and ensure the timely delivery of solutions in line with business requirements.Interface with key stakeholders to ensure building and site services readiness.Support the creation of our logistics strategy to support future project phases.Who we areAgratas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. The UK business headquarters is in the Midlands and we are currently building a battery manufacturing facility in Bridgwater, Somerset.The team youll joinThe Process Engineering team is a dynamic group working across a range of areas such as electrode, cell assembly, FA&T (formation, ageing and testing), control and automation, manufacturing systems, digital manufacturing and logistics engineering. Being a relatively new team, youll play a critical part in creating processes and help in building large-scale logistics facilities from the ground up.What youll bringExperience with the design, optimisation, installation and commissioning of ASRS systems ideally within the battery or similar industries.Experience with ASRS Warehouse Control Systems and the interface with upper-level systems e.g.Warehouse Management SystemsDelivered logistics projects utilising project management techniques to ensure the on-time delivery of planned outcomesStrong knowledge of logistics processes, tools and techniques.Data analysis to derive cost benefits and business cases for decision making.What youll getAs a new company, our reward scheme is constantly evolving.
