Reporting directly to the Equity Partners, this role involves managing and developing the private client department, overseeing a busy caseload, and playing a key role in business strategy. Responsibilities include:Running a varied and high-value caseload across wills, trusts, estate planning, probate and LPAsLeading, mentoring, and developing the Private Client teamEnsuring compliance with firm policies and regulatory obligationsContributing to the firms financial targets and profitabilityRepresenting the department at partner meetings and contributing to firm-wide decisionsDelivering exceptional client care while managing expectations and risk effectivelyProactively driving new business and cross-referrals across the firmThe Candidate:This role will suit a senior Private Client Solicitor with a minimum of 10 years PQE and demonstrable experience in departmental leadership. You must also be able to demonstrate:A solid track record of technical excellence in private client lawStrong billing history and commercial awarenessExperience in managing a team and departmental targetsExcellent drafting, communication, and client handling skillsA strategic mindset and genuine enthusiasm for leadership and growthCommitment to compliance, training, and risk management best practicesThe Firm:This well-established and highly respected law firm is known for its client-first approach and professional integrity.
