Youll be supporting service users in the community to overcome issues in their daily lives have been impacting negatively on their mental health and wellbeing.Youll support service users to identify barriers/challenges to living independently and by utilising a strengths-based approach, develop a support plan to enable service users to remain independent in the community, or to facilitate a timely discharge from psychiatric wards.We will be delivering a 12-week intervention which involves one to one community support. This will involve supporting service users to recover and overcome issues in their daily lives that impact negatively on their mental health and wellbeing.The primary focus of the service is to enable our service users to remain independent in the community and to facilitate discharge from psychiatric wards.Ideal candidateWere looking for someone who has the values, knowledge and skills of working within a support role supporting clients with mental health needs and can demonstrate how they use their skills and common sense to support vulnerable individuals. Theyll have a commitment to maintaining the dignity and rights of the individuals and families we work with, with top notch communication skills.
