Job description Driver/Yard Operative – Temp to Perm Opportunity – Walsall Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour + Time and a Half on Weekends Hours: Minimum 40 hrs/week, with regular overtime available JAM Staffing Solutions are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established client based in Walsall for a Driver/Yard Operative position. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team in a long-term role with the potential to go permanent after just 12 weeks. What You’ll Be Doing: * Driving pre-planned routes to deliver, collect, clean, and maintain portable toilets and welfare units * Carrying out multi-drop deliveries and collections * Ensuring equipment is cleaned and maintained to a high standard * Working both independently and alongside a supportive Transport Manager * Assisting in the yard, which will involve some manual handling and heavy lifting What We’re Looking For: * A full UK driving licence * A can-do attitude and willingness to work physically * Good communication skills and the ability to work independently * A flexible approach – some weekend and evening work required * Experience in commercial driving or as a van driver is preferred, but not essential – full training will be provided! Working Hours: * Minimum of 40 hours per week, with regular opportunities to work up to 48 hours * 5 days per week (Monday to Sunday rota) * Start and finish times will be discussed at the interview Pay & Perks: * £12.21 per hour * Time and a half paid for weekend work * Temp-to-perm opportunity – secure a permanent role after 12 weeks * Work with a respected employer in a stable and growing industry Interested?
