Sustainability Officer Location: East Yorkshire Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £35,000 to £39,000 per year + Excellent Benefits Are you passionate about driving meaningful change in sustainability? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation that places environmental and social responsibility at the core of its operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Sustainability Officer, where you'll help shape and deliver key sustainability objectives across the business and its supply chain. The Role As Sustainability Officer, you will lead on data-driven initiatives to improve environmental and social performance. You will collaborate across departments to promote responsible business practices and support long-term sustainability goals. Key Responsibilities Collect and analyse data related to carbon emissions, waste, energy use, and responsible sourcing Implement and support sustainability projects across departments Work with HR, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and IT to streamline data collection and reporting processes Contribute to internal and external sustainability reports, including those aligned with CSRD standards Use tools and internal systems to track environmental impact and identify improvement opportunities Support the definition and tracking of reduction targets Ensure accuracy of data through structured checks and internal audit methods Present insights, progress updates, and risks to key stakeholders and senior management Engage with supply chain partners to promote sustainable practices Contribute to wider corporate and customer sustainability goals, including Science-Based Targets What You Will Need Previous experience in a sustainability or CSR role, with a focus on data reporting and analysis Solid understanding and exposure to Environmental frameworks  Strong collaboration and communication skills and be able to influence and coach others Analytical mindset with experience using reporting and data visualisation tools Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail Full driving license as some travel will be involved in the role Ideally degree-qualified in Sustainability, Sustainable Development, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Energy and Environment, or a related field   Consortium Professional Recruitment Ltd are a professional level recruitment consultancy specialising in the delivery of high relevance recruitment services on behalf of our clients across the UK.
