IPS continues growing and is now widely integrated and embedded within operations across the Culina Group network. We are now recruiting for aShift Production Controllerto join ourIPS Desboroughsite on afull-time and permanent basis . Shift:Monday-Friday, rotating weekly between 06:00am-14:00pm and 14:00pm-22:00pm. Salary:£41,000 per annum. Job DescriptionMotivate a team to meet production targets effectively. Ensure the final product meets client specifications (SPI). Maximise production efficiency to meet plans on an hourly/daily basis. Utilise the integrated management systems effectively. Adhere to and promote best practices in health, safety, and quality regulations. Complete all paperwork and systems accurately according to procedures. Maintain compliance with hygienic audits, both internal and external. Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and housekeeping standards. Assist in developing a skills matrix for production workers. Attend line leader meetings and relevant training courses. Support the development of Line Leaders and train new starters. Act as a role model for best practices. Monitor, control, and minimise waste. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct RTWs for line workers. Engage in the company’s PDP program. Handle disciplinary investigations as per procedures. Serve as a machinery knowledge specialist. Drive personal development through training and experience. Manage output and resolve issues proactively. Cover for the Area Manager when required. Liaise with customers and clients as needed. Be flexible to cover various shifts to support management. Perform other duties within the scope of the role as required. QualificationsExperience in a customer-led environment with changing priorities. Experience with manufacturing machinery and processes. H&S Level 2 Qualification. NVQ Level 2 in Team Leading of Packing Operations. Positive and clear communication skills. Ability to plan, organise, and meet strict deadlines.
