We run a variety of projects to help deepen people’s love of nature and connect, inspire, and mobilise more people to save nature. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers with specialist skills to support the RSPB’s Education, Families, and Youth team in developing our work with children and young people through our RSPB Youth Groups (Wildlife Explorers and Phoenix groups). This is a home-based, flexible role requiring around 3-4 hours per week. What you will be doing As an RSPB Youth Group Social Media Volunteer, you will help promote our Youth Groups’ events and activities to increase their reach and encourage more children and young people to join, as well as attracting new volunteers. Your responsibilities include: Leading the development and management of our Facebook account to promote Youth Groups and engage families of children aged 8 to 13 years, including creating and posting engaging content. Researching current promotion methods and providing recommendations for improvements, including training and upskilling opportunities. Monitoring and recording work on spreadsheets or internal databases. Providing consultancy on social media and online promotions. Supporting the delivery of training and creating guidance to develop team skills in social media use. IT skills, including managing documents and spreadsheets, especially Microsoft Office. Access to the internet is required; IT equipment can be provided if needed.
