Applications are invited for Advanced Neonatal Fellows to join the NICU at St Michael’s hospital, combining clinical work at ST6+ level with protected time to develop interest areas in research, teaching and/or improvement work. The post is for a period of 12 months from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified candidate to enhance their experience in tertiary level neonatal intensive care whilst undertaking projects to enhance neonatal care and their own skills. The regional NICU at St Michael’s Hospital provides regional tertiary neonatal intensive care for medical patients and supra-regional services for infants with surgical, neurosurgical and cardiac problems. It also acts as the base unit for the regional Neonatal Transport team. Experience in medical education, management, improvement or research is a core element of these fellowships and will be supported by a range of consultants with expertise in those areas.Applicants should have a minimum of 12 months experience at ST6+/Senior SpR level or equivalent in neonatal medicine, be registered with the GMC and eligible to work in the UK.This post would be suitable as a stand-alone fellowship, as out-of-programme experience or as a post-CCT fellowship.
