Opportunity We are a well-established, independent and ambitious firm of RICS Building Surveyors looking for an experienced Residential Surveyor to carry out Level 3 and Level 2 home surveys. The individual would be based in Oxfordshire or surrounding areas, and the patch would be tailored to their location. Our experienced typing team support our surveyors so that desk time and admin are minimised, allowing our surveyors to do what they do best surveying! The role Allcott Associates has an excellent reputation in the residential surveying market, specialising in providing thorough, insightful Level 3 and Level 2 surveys to private clients looking to purchase a new home in Banbury, Abingdon, Oxford, Bicester and similar areas. Our approach focuses on the building and its pathology, tailoring each survey to the property, rather than using tablets and standard paragraphs. We use our broad in-house expertise to provide diagnoses and advice whenever possible, rather than relying on referring to third parties for unecessary further investigations. As an multi-disciplinary company, we can offer growth and development in different disciplines, including residential (of course), commercial, general practice and structural engineering. Our independence as a firm means that we have the flexibility to shape the job according to what you are looking for. If you want to get involved in growing the business and liaising with clients then we can facilitate that. If having more control over your work and when you do it is your priority, then the role is ideal our surveyors often schedule surveys to allow them to do school drop-offs/avoid rush-hour etc. Aside from the site visits the role is home-working, with no timesheets or points targets. The person The ideal candidate will be an RICS chartered building surveyor or AssocRICS residential surveyor, and be confident in carrying out residential building surveys. They must have an eye for detail and a thorough understanding of building defects, maintenance and repairs.
