We are currently working in partnership with a reputable housing association, who are looking to appoint a District Heating Manager on a permanent basis.While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.This will be a full-time position based in Yorkshire, with hybrid working and a salary of 54,000 per annum.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of working within a mechanically biased Building Services role.Duties will include (but are not limited to):Creating the future strategy to deliver the organisations vision for cost effective and sustainable heating across heat networksLiaising with consultants to secure the necessary funding to execute the agreed strategyProviding technical expertise, leadership and guidance to the organisation in relation to the district heating systemsOverseeing the technical specification, contract management, and delivery of optimisation works, obtaining third-party verificationReviewing the sustainability credentials of district heating systems, together with any proposed changes to the systemManaging all associated funding bids, with support from contractor/consultantsTaking ownership of a system-wide options appraisal report that has been set-up to review all sustainable and cost-effective optionsManaging tendering of contracts to third partiesExperience & Skills required:Operational experience working on district heating systemsDegree-qualified Chartered Engineer, HNC/HND or equivalentProven track record of problem solving and fault findingStrong knowledge of CDM and Health & SafetyWorking hours:35 hours per weekMonday Friday, 9am-5pmPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
