This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, offering a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a high-profile role.What Youll Be DoingMapping and analysing our current (AS-IS) operating model across LGPS Centrals investment and operational landscapeSupporting the design and documentation of the future (TO-BE) model to enhance our investment capabilities and governance frameworksCollaborating with colleagues and external partners to shape clear, actionable business recommendationsEnsuring all analysis supports our pooled investment structure, complies with regulatory standards, and aligns with our strategic goalsContributing to business change initiatives that underpin our fiduciary duty and commitment to excellence in LGPS deliveryAbout UsLGPS Central (LGPSC) Ltd is the FCA-regulated asset manager for eight local authority pension funds across the Midlands. LGPSC is jointly owned on an equal shares basis by those Partner Fund, and it is responsible for managing 45bn+ of their assets. It is one of eight Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) asset pools in the UK.LGPS Centrals Partner Funds are:Cheshire Pension FundDerbyshire Pension FundLeicestershire Pension FundNottinghamshire Pension FundShropshire Pension FundStaffordshire Pension FundWest Midlands Pension FundWorcestershire Pension FundLGPS Central is owned equally by all eight of its Partner Funds and is dedicated to the management of local government pension assets. The Company moved to new premises at i9, Wolverhampton Interchange in January 2022, close to local transport links.RequirementsProven experience as a Business Analyst leading operating model design in an LGPS, asset management, or public pensions context.Strong understanding of pooled investment structures, public pensions governance, and regulatory requirements.Skilled in business process mapping and analysis (e.g. BPMN, Lean).Experience working with investment operations, risk, compliance, and front-to-back-office teams.Confident facilitating workshops, engaging stakeholders, and writing high-quality documentation.Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, with three office-based days in Wolverhampton.QualificationsDegree in Business, Finance, Public Administration, or equivalent experience.Business Analysis qualification (BCS, IIBA, or equivalent) desirable.Project/change management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, AgilePM) advantageous.What do we offer?We are proud to provide our people with a premium and exclusive benefits package and we are continually improving the rewards we offer.
