This is a strategic leadership role requiring technical expertise, project oversight, and business development capability within the civil and structural engineering space.You Will Need:Minimum 2:1 BSc/BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)At least 10 years post-qualification experience in civil engineeringChartered status with a relevant professional body (e.g. MICE)Full UK driving licence and access to own transportKey Responsibilities:Leading high-quality concept, preliminary and detailed designs for highways and drainage projectsPerforming drainage calculations: QBar, attenuation, soakaways, foul loads, pipeline capacities, and network analysisDesigning adoptable and non-adoptable roads, driveways, car parks and footpaths for a range of surfacesOverseeing Developer Enquiries, Environment Agency and LLFA information requestsManaging S104, S106, S185, S184, S278 and S38 applications and submissionsProducing technical reports such as Transport Statements, Travel Plans, Flood Risk Assessments, and Drainage Strategy ReportsEnsuring project delivery within agreed budgets and timelinesOverseeing and supporting sustainability assessments and performance criteriaLine management of both senior and junior engineersSupervising CAD/Revit technicians and conducting QA checksFulfilling duties under CDM RegulationsLeading client relationships, marketing, and business development effortsEssential Attributes:Strong leadership and team management skillsExtensive knowledge of drainage and highway design softwareDetail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work outputProactive and capable of working independentlyStrong interpersonal and communication skillsCommercial awareness with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunitiesIf you are interested in this opportunity, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and salary expectations.
