We have a 6 month fixed term role as a Digital PR & Content Assistant - a great opportunity to learn in a busy digital marketing agency, with the potential for the role to become permanent at the end of the six months if there is a capacity requirement.This is a hands-on role that sits across our SEO & Digital PR team and will see you work across campaigns to land client coverage and links straight from the start, in addition to creating effective content for clients websites, social media campaigns and the Cedarwood website. Essentially, youll be creating engaging stories based around our clients and their products to attract media attention. So, an eye for a good story and a thirst to get your clients featured in top newspapers and magazines is essential.This role promises tonnes of variety, with no two days looking the same. From sending out Christmas trees for journalists to review to working with a legal client to analyse Coronation Street storylines, this is a varied role that is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment & has good analytical skills. On top of good analytical skills, youll have good written and verbal skills, as well as good organisation skills in order to manage media lists and our journalist database, you'll also be able to keep on top of admin-related tasks such as updating these lists & databases when required.The Main Responsibilities of the Digital PR & Content Assistant will be:Monitor media trends and tap into these when relevant to secure coverage - both proactive and reactive newsjackingMonitoring news on a daily basisUse our media database to source relevant contacts and build relationships with journalists - media list building will play a key part of this role Interview clients and create content for thought leadership articles, to be placed on industry blogs and magazinesCreating effective press releases around topical PR stories Campaign ideation - creating effective campaign ideasCreating effective landing page and product copy for websitesCreating effective copy for social mediaConducting research for data-led campaignsKey skills required:Excellent written communication skills & EnglishStrong attention to detailSkills in MS Word, ExcelWillingness to learn Keen interest in the PR and content spaceHybrid: Manchester City Centre Office
