Job Title: Business Development ManagerDepartment: OperationsLocation: New Eltham, LondonReports To: Operations DirectorWorking Hours: MondayFriday, 8:00am 6:00pm (with 1-hour break)Salary: 36,000 Basic + 25,000 Uncapped CommissionsStart date: 1st of July 2025.Apply promptly! A high volume of applicants is expected for the role as detailed below, do not wait to send your CV.Job PurposeTo ensure the efficient planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance and construction projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing ongoing and new projects, handling client communications, and coordinating workforce scheduling to deliver high-quality service and maintain customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities1. Morning Start-Up Review progress of all ongoing projects from the previous day.Ensure all planned work for the current day has commenced as scheduled.Resolve any early-day site issues or delays.2. Sales Coordination Nurturing potential leads.Contacting potential new clients though face-to-face meetings, calls, online meetings.Provide input or technical review on new business opportunities or tenders.3. Daily Operations Handle all incoming urgent and reactive maintenance requests.Compile accurate and competitive quotes for new work.Ensure all active projects are progressing efficiently, within time and budget.Maintain up-to-date tracking of all project costs and flag variances.Arrange initial assessments or surveys for prospective works.Communicate completed works to clients in a timely and professional manner.Work closely with field specialists, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve on-site issues.4. Scheduling and Calendar Management Review and verify daily and upcoming job bookings (time, address, and access).Confirm that all access arrangements (keys, permits, etc.) are in place.Collaborate with other Project Managers to ensure engineers' time is optimally allocated.Proactively reschedule jobs if delays or access issues arise, ensuring proper follow-up.Key Skills & CompetenciesExcellent project and time management skillsStrong organisational ability with a detail-focused approachAbility to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsCompetency with project management and scheduling softwareCommercial awareness and cost-control proficiencyProblem-solving and decision-making capabilityQualifications & ExperienceMinimum 3 years of experience in project management, preferably within construction or building maintenanceKnowledge of construction and maintenance processes, methods, and materialsExperience managing teams and subcontractors on multiple projectsFamiliarity with health and safety regulations and risk assessmentsDriving licence preferred.Desirable AttributesSelf-starter with a proactive attitudeClient-focused, with the ability to build strong relationshipsStrong documentation and reporting skillsFlexible and adaptable with a team-player mindsetAdaptability to multicultural environment.
