Arriva TrainCare is part of Arriva, you’ll be part of a professional team with these core behaviours at heart; • We care passionately • We do the right thing • We make the differenceBenefits include 26 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays, pension, life and healthcare cover, Arriva UK Trains Travel Pass, Cycle to Work scheme and Arriva Village retailer discount scheme.The Role:Working at our Tyne Yard depot, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance activities of rail vehicles to laid down standards and procedures.What You’ll Do: Drive rail vehicles as required Ensure that safety procedures and documents are adhered to in accordance with VMI & local instruction Ensure that work sheets are signed off promptly Attend safety briefings Good housekeeping and cleaning of the depot Assist as directed by Team Leader to ensure rolling stock availability Full job description available on request What You Bring: Qualifications –minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Engineering Experience –previous experience, involvement and understanding of rail vehicle maintenance activities is desirable Knowledge –good understanding of depot operations with the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
