This role is pivotal in ensuring plant availability while maintaining full compliance with regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement and managing projects, ensuring that our site operates at peak performance.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESLead and develop a high-performing maintenance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Implement and maintain a robust preventative maintenance programme for all site facilities.Ensure compliance with all statutory engineering and safety requirements.Manage maintenance budgets and control costs effectively.Act as the primary engineering contact for incident response and troubleshooting.Work closely with the production team to minimise downtime and optimise efficiencies.Stay updated on industry advancements and provide thought leadership on innovative engineering solutions.EXPERIENCEProven experience in maintenance management within a process or manufacturing environment (preferably with previous knowledge of extrusion)Hands-on expertise with pumps, conveyors, motors/drives, heating/cooling systems, and hydraulics.Strong leadership skills, with experience managing a multi-shift maintenance team.Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance techniques.Qualified in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (City and Guilds or higher).Multi-skilled with a solid understanding of regulatory requirements.
