To act differently.Job PurposeManaging the design process from the pre-construction stage to provide compliant, accurate and timely design information using experience, knowledge and technical expertise.You'll be responsible forLooking ahead and planning all aspects of the project, identifying challenges and bringing imaginative and cost-effective solutions to the tableWorking within current legislation, standards and codes of practice where neededLooking to eliminate health and safety and financial risk during constructionKeeping a good flow of quality information to ensure pace with the project timescaleHaving the ability to build good solid relationships with all stakeholders and have open and clear dialogueExperiencePrevious Design Manager experience in the commercial or Industrial sectorsUnderstanding of traditional construction and D&BThorough understanding of CDM regulationsKnowledge of software for example BIM and 4ProjectsDesign qualification consideredWe're looking for someone who has:Ability to work equally well as part of a team or on your ownAbility to communicate at all levels and be understoodCommercial awarenessA broad understanding of alternative forms of procurement, to include frameworks, negotiated and 2 stage tendersBenefitsDiscretionary annual bonusCar allowance27 days plus 8 bank holidayPaid sick leave (after qualifying period)Pension - company contributions x 1.5 employee contribution.
