DescriptionLondon-based FinTech, Atoa, is currently hiring for a fractional Finance Manager to join its expanding startup team. FCA authorised, and backed by leading names behind the likes of PayPal, Monzo, Xero, and Wise, Atoa allows consumers to pay UK businesses via Bank App. This allows businesses to reduce payment fees by up to 50% and get paid instantly. The fractional Head of Finance role would oversee Atoa's Finance function and oversee certain regulatory matters such as safeguarding.Below covers everything you need to know about what this opportunity entails, as well as what is expected from applicants.Who you areMinimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar Finance roleACCA or equivalent qualificationIn-depth knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and analysisStrong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax lawsProficiency in financial management software, including TAS, SAGE, and XeroExperience in the safeguarding of customer funds preferably in an authorized e-money or payment institution is highly desiredStrong leadership and team management skillsEffective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaborationExperience within a startup environment with a flexible 'can do' approachIdeal candidates will come from a financial services background and have a solid understanding of relevant rules and regulationsAssisting the C-Suite in future fundraisingWhat the job involvesPrepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsPrepare budgets and forecasts and track actual performance against budgeted performanceCollaborate with our external accounting firm to prepare, review and submit periodic financial reports to HMRC and Companies HouseConduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvementEnsure month-end balance sheet reconciliations are completed accuratelyProvide financial guidance and support to team members and other departmentsEnsure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax lawsEstablish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard customer fundsCollaborate with our external accountants regarding year-end reportingBenefitsCompetitive Salary (70,000-80,000 p/a based on experience)Employee Share OptionsRemote part-time work environmentOpportunity to work in a rapidly growing startup environment Please note that Atoa does not work with external recruiters or agenciesRemote working/work at home options are available for this role.
