Were recruiting for a Utilities Analyst to join a leading retail business locally in a newly created position.About the Company:~4bn turnover and operating more than 1000 sites nationwideThe leader in its field, with continuous plans for acquisitionsWorked with Aila for several years with a high progression & retention rateFocused on sustainability with an excellent culture and environmentThe Role:The Utilities Analyst will lead on the resolution of utility invoice discrepancies and ensure the accuracy of utility data across systems. This role involves working closely with utility suppliers, distribution network operators and internal teams to identify, track and resolve billing issues.Key Responsibilities:Investigate and resolve issues identified during invoice validationLiaise directly with suppliers and DNOs to challenge discrepancies and drive them to resolutionEnsure consistent follow-through on issues from initiation to closureRetain relationships with dedicated supplier account managers, especially during transitions between suppliers, to avoid reliance on generic call centresEscalate issues appropriately to maintain service quality and continuity.Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders including Finance and Systemslink usersCollaborate closely with colleagues such as the other Utilities Manager to ensure alignment and data integrityEnsure issues are fully resolved before invoice approvalMaintain accurate, clean, and reliable data to support ongoing validation and reportingThe Ideal Candidate:Exceptional attention to detail, able to spot and investigate anomalies in dataWillingness and ability to learn systems and processes quicklyStrong Excel with the ability to interpret large datasets.Excellent management skills to handle multiple accounts, meet deadlines, and ensure data accuracy and integrityStrong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectivelyWhat they Offer:Competitive salary: 35,000 - 40,000Performance-related bonusComprehensive benefits packageHybrid working (3 days in St Albans, 2 remote)Opportunity to progress in one of the largest companies in HertsHow to Apply:We want to hear from you if you're excited about this opportunity and believe you have what it takes to excel in this role.
