Job Title:Multi-Skilled Operator / Packing (12hr shifts rotating days and nights)Salary:£30,800 per annumDepartment:PackagingDirect Reports:(Only when covering supervisor - Carton Operator, Palletiser Co-ordinator, Multi-skilled Forklift Truck Driver, All Round Operator, Packaging Operator)Reports To:Packaging Supervisor / Shift ManagerOverall Role Purpose The purpose of this role is to assist the packaging supervisor in the daily operations of the packing area. It involves protecting the brand, maintaining trust, and ensuring compliance with legal obligations by sourcing and manufacturing food that meets each customer's food integrity requirements.Key Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesDeputise for the packaging supervisor during breaks and absences, supervising daily operations of the pack hall.Authorize all machines in the pack area.Cover responsibilities in the carton room, palletiser/cold store, and bagging machines.Complete KPI updates in MCS.Maintain cleanliness of the working area.Provide thorough handovers at shift changeovers.Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, health and safety, environmental, and HR policies and regulations.Assist colleagues such as carton room operators, palletiser operators, and machine operators as needed.Participate in Behavioural Based Safety (BBS) training, promoting safety for oneself and others.Perform sanitation duties including shutdown procedures.Remain at workstation until relieved during shift handovers.Provide on-the-job guidance, training, and support to colleagues.Report and escalate production issues promptly to supervisors or managers.Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors or managers.KPI’s Influenced by the RoleOperational downtimeManaging pack temperaturesQuality complaintsManaging Critical Control Points (CCP)Product giveawayGMP scoreFM complaintsManaging film wasteBehaviour Based SafetyContributing to MCS audit scoreRole Factors Stakeholders Packaging Supervisor, Machine Operators, Engineering, Palletiser Co-ordinator, QA, Pack and Optical Sort SpecialistJob Skills, Qualifications & Experience Demonstrable supervisory skills, NVQ Level 2, H+S, GMP knowledge.Qualifications Maths and English GCSE or equivalent, Lamb Weston chemical training.Experience Manufacturing shop floor experience, 2-3 years in manufacturing, supervisory experience, SAP/SCADA/Free Weigh experience.Company Values Integrity We do the right thing every time, even when no one is looking.Inclusion We embrace differences and make it safe to be ourselves because we all count.Empowerment We think like leaders and act like owners.Teamwork We see the bigger picture and strengthen ourselves by collaborating.Drive for Results We challenge ourselves and each other to find better ways to do things.#J-18808-Ljbffr
