Junior or Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer | Permanent OpportunityJob Title: Electrical Design Engineer (Junior to Intermediate) Location: Greater Southampton (Full-time office-based with ad hoc WFH flexibility) Salary: £28,000 to £45,000 (depending on experience)My client, a nationally respected building services consultancy, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team in the Greater Southampton area. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects with a strong focus on decarbonisation and sustainability.About the Role:The successful candidate will support the design and delivery of electrical building services projects across a variety of sectors. Current and upcoming projects include:Decarbonisation schemes for hospitals and public sector estatesNew-build educational facilitiesHealthcare infrastructure upgradesThis role is ideally suited to a Junior to Intermediate level Electrical Engineer with a passion for sustainable design and a desire to work on technically challenging and meaningful projects.Key Responsibilities:Design of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, containment, and fire alarmsProduction of detailed design drawings and specificationsCollaboration with mechanical engineers and other disciplinesSite visits, surveys, and client meetingsSupporting project delivery and contributing to technical developmentRequirements:Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)Experience in electrical design within a consultancy or contractor environmentUnderstanding of UK building regulations and relevant standards (e.g. BS 7671)Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Amtech or similarStrong communication and teamwork skillsTerms / Benefits:Competitive salary from £28,000 to £45,000 (DOE)Full-time office-based role with occasional WFH flexibilityFree parking / good local public transport linksCore hours 09:30-16:0025 days annual leave, rising to 30 daysMemberships paid for and supportedOpportunity to work on high-impact decarbonisation projectsSupportive and collaborative team environmentClear progression pathway and technical developmentNext Steps:For more information, please apply via this advert or contact Daniel Baker on 07545 546 986
