Closing Date2025-06-22Job Title: Sampling & Logistics Team LeaderLocation: KentContract Type: PermanentHours: 37/ week, Fri – Mon 9am – 6.45pm (4 day compressed weekend)Salary: £35,000There has never been a better time to join our organisation as we build towards a greener future, tackling climate change, minimising our environmental impact and reducing our carbon footprint!Job OverviewIn this role, you will manage a shift team of Water Quality Technicians who deliver water and wastewater sampling activities to meet the needs of Southern Water and the Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI)/Environment Agency (EA) regulatory programme requirements.Day To Day You'll BeCo-ordinating the scheduling of sampling events and the team resource to ensure collection of samples within required timescales and delivery of regulatory sampling programmes. Providing guidance to your team to ensure sampling activities adhere to Southern Water quality systems and comply with the quality accreditation standards as required under ISO/IEC 17025 and Monitoring Certification Scheme for equipment (MCERTS). Supporting the Sampling Manager in the day-to-day operations and deputising in their absence. Maintaining the equipment register and ensuring equipment is suitably maintained and within calibration/servicing dates. Assisting the QMS Team with annual audits required for Water Quality Technicians. Training and maintaining competency as a potable Water Quality Technician. Providing guidance to your team; ensuring that they always adhere to Health & Safety policies and procedures.
