Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037 .Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year.Service Information:Berwick Street is a 16 bed Ofsted registered supported Housing service with 1 emergency bed space for young people with high Complex needs aged between 16 and 25 years of age. The role consists of supporting and ensuring the safety of the service and young people during the evening. This will include 121 support, advice and guidance in line with Centrepoint and Ofsted standards. The service is a 24-hour service with staff working in line with a 4-week rolling rota that includes bank holidays and weekends.What You Will Be Doing:Conduct regular building health and safety inspections, promptly addressing any risks and coordinating necessary repairs. Provide guidance and support to young people on managing risk, health and safety concerns. Foster positive relationships and support networks among residents, promoting their well-being and development. Offer advice and assistance on benefits, local services, and our complaints procedure. Respond appropriately to welfare concerns, including child protection and vulnerable adult issues, adhering to policies and procedures. Maintain meticulous records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations. Collaborate with the team to prepare accommodations for new residents and maintain cleanliness standards. Ensure premises meet legal and statutory requirements for safe operation.What We Would Be Looking for From You:Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in IT. Experience in maintaining detailed records and achieving outcomes with young people. Knowledge of resources available to young homeless people and the ability to offer reliable advice. Ability to engage positively with young people. Effective time management skills. Customer service experience with a focus on meeting diverse needs.
