An independent, strategically vital organisation at the heart of the UKs smart metering and net zero ambitions is hiring a Head of Business & Technical Architecture.This is a unique opportunity to lead the architectural strategy for one of the UKs most critical digital infrastructuressupporting over 30 million smart meter connections nationwide.This leadership role is ideal for an experienced Enterprise Architect with a strong track record in shaping large-scale technical and business architecturesespecially in complex, regulated, or data-heavy environments such as energy, telecoms, or digital infrastructure.What youll be doing: Lead the evolution of smart metering technology and business architecture across the UK energy sector Chair a key industry Sub-Committee, influencing multi-party decisions involving regulators, government, and service providers Shape and assure architectural direction for major future programmesincluding a new Data Service Provider solution Act as a trusted advisor to board-level stakeholders and regulators Drive innovation and ensure smart metering arrangements stay fit for the future in a decarbonising energy system Were looking for someone with: 5 years in a senior technology leadership role (e.g., Enterprise Architect, CTO, CPO) The ability to chair and lead cross-functional discussions, balancing strategic priorities with technical rigour Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including working with regulators, industry, and government A passion for technology innovation that delivers real-world impactespecially for consumers and sustainability If you are interested in this role, apply now for an immediate review!
