This role requires HCPC Registration Interview Date: TBC Main duties of the jobRole Overview:As a Band 6 Hand Therapist, you will work closely with patients referred from orthopaedics, primary and secondary care, as well as self-referrals. Your responsibilities will include: Providing expert assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for hand and upper limb conditions. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.Contributing to the development of evidence-based practice. Participating in in-house training and development programs. Requirements: To thrive in this role, you’ll need: A minimum of two years’ experience working at Band 5 level. Willingness to participate in 7-day working on a rota basis . Person specificationQualificationsHCPC Registration Member of BAHT Evidence of BAHT or other relevant courses ExperienceHand therapy experience Worked as an outpatient therapist in the NHS or in a system comparable to the NHS Experience with custom made thermoplastic and neoprene splinting techniques Experience of working in hand therapy outpatients at Band 6 level SkillsAbility to teach & supervise Junior staff & assistants Independent manufacture of variety of bespoke static and dynamic splints Please note: Staff recruited are expected to be available to work flexibly across all our Trust locations to meet service demands.
