Therefore your employer will be The Lighthouse Trust.We are looking for anAssistantCaretakerto provide efficient and effective caretaking support and work under the guidance of our Site and Safety Manager and Senior Leaders. Duties include ensuring site security is maintained in accordance with the required standards and to check that heating systems are operational. The post holder will be expected to observe safe working practices in carrying out the required duties and ensure that instructions specified by senior leaders are adhered to. You will be expected to safely open the school site at 6am and work alongside our colleagues at Walsall Cleaning Services to replenish cleaning materials as required. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in grounds maintenance and improvement, as duties will include some gardening etc. We are looking for someone who will love the school as much as we do, taking a real pride in the appearance of our building and extensive grounds.The successful candidate will need:To be responsible for maintaining the security of the premises and its contents in accordance with the sites current requirements. To safely open the site on a daily basis. To complete daily site walks, ensuring the site is fully operational for the day ahead. To work alongside our colleagues at Walsall Cleaning Services and replenish cleaning materials as required. A keen eye for gardening and grounds maintenance.The successful candidate will demonstrate:Ability to use own initiative Ability to work well with other members of the team Understands and is able to apply Health and Safety procedures relevant to the job such as lone working procedures and responsibilities.In return, we can offer you a well-maintained school site with supportive, friendly and hardworking colleagues.Visits to the school are positively encouraged, please come along and meet us!
