Town Hall 160 Whitechapel Road LONDON E1 1BJ We have recently created a new Senior Technical Officer position within the Revenues and Benefits section. The role will be part of an existing Technical Team responsible for maintaining the integrity and availability of the Housing Benefit computer systems, including NEC Benefits, Civica 360 (Comino), and Revenues Civica (open revenues systems). We are seeking a candidate experienced in running reports and scripts using SQL and UNIX within the NEC Benefits system, with leadership experience in guiding a Technical Team through upgrades, testing, and year-end processes. The successful candidate will also be expected to: Lead the development and implementation of a Systems and Development strategy plan, advising the Revenues and Benefits Management Team to enhance performance and drive the service into the top quartile over the next 3-5 years, thereby strengthening the delivery of the long-term service strategy. Research new initiatives, formulate policies, and deliver business and process improvement programs related to emerging technologies. Lead the team through testing and implementing system updates, releases, and upgrades. Project manage changes to the Revenues and Benefits ICT systems.
