This fulfilling role offers a competitive annual salary between£21,500 to £24,500and is available to startASAP . Responsibilities of the Pastoral Support Assistant (PSA): Provide dedicated support to students withSocial Emotional Mental Health (SEMH)needs. Be on call throughout the school day to assist students in need of pastoral care. Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other support professionals to ensure a positive and inclusive school environment. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and contribute to school events. Support and manage student behaviour in line with the school’s pastoral policies. Offer guidance, encouragement, and a listening ear to students facing challenges. Requirements of the Pastoral Support Assistant (PSA): Experience working with young people in an educational or pastoral setting, or transferable skills from roles such asyouth worker, social worker , or similar. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to student support. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Anenhanced DBSregistered to the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education. Flexible working options: up to 5 days per week available.
