Key Responsibilities and Requirements: Team Leadership & Coordination Supervise a team of estate operatives, ensuring everyone is deployed effectively Schedule daily/weekly tasks and assign staff to bin handling, litter picking, and jet washing duties Conduct toolbox talks, briefings, performance reviews, and monitor attendance/punctuality Provide on-the-job coaching and guidance in safe working procedures Operational Delivery Oversee residential bin movements: ensure bins are placed at collection points on time and returned afterward Manage litter picking and waste removal across communal and landscaped areas Supervise jet-washing of car parks, podiums, bin stores, and walkways to maintain hygiene standards Conduct regular site walk-arounds to check cleanliness, safety, and bin store standards Health & Safety & Quality Assurance Ensure safe use of pressure washers and outdoor equipment; monitor COSHH compliance Enforce PPE use, risk assessments, and safe work practices Identify and report hazards, damage, or maintenance needs promptly to management Management & Administration Keep records: task sheets, completed jobs, materials used, incidents, and near-misses Provide regular updates to Facilities Manager on performance, headcount, and outstanding issues Support recruitment, induction, and training of new team members Skills & Experience Proven experience in supervisory roles within estate or grounds maintenance Competent in pressure-washing and outdoor equipment use Physically fit and capable of performing walkthroughs and manual tasks Strong understanding of health & safety regulations Excellent communication and people management skills Ability to work independently and handle resident-facing situations Other Requirements Youll hold a driving licence with an excellent road safety record.
