We are seeking a highly competent and motivatedSenior National Account Managerto join our commercial team.This role offers hybrid working, primarily based at an Avara site, with opportunities for remote work and regular travel to our key customer down South. Purpose of the role: TheSenior National Account Manageroversees and manages sales activities with our largest customer, a UK-based retailer. This involves developing and maintaining strong relationships, driving sales growth, and executing sales strategies. The role requires close collaboration with Insights, Operations, Agriculture, Technical, and NPD teams to meet revenue targets and expand business with this key account. Your key responsibilities as a Senior National Account Manager will include: Account Management:Build and maintain strong relationships as the primary contact. Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions. Serve as the main point of contact, ensuring prompt resolution of issues. Maintain communication and engagement to foster long-term partnerships. Manage the customer portal with up-to-date information. Sales Strategy Development:Develop and implement aligned sales strategies. Manage product mix for efficiency and profitability. Identify new business opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams for alignment on strategy. Monitor and adjust sales performance strategies. Revenue Growth:Drive revenue by meeting/exceeding sales targets. Negotiate pricing, volumes, and promotional plans. Analyze sales data for upselling opportunities. Support new product submissions to enhance market share. Sales Reporting & Analysis:Prepare and deliver sales reports and performance analysis. Track KPIs and respond to risks and opportunities. Lead meetings with stakeholders to review performance. Support S&OP forecasting based on current data. Provide insights to improve strategies. Market Research & Competitive Intelligence:Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities. Gather intelligence to refine sales tactics. What we are looking for:5+ years in account management or national sales roles. Proven success in achieving sales targets in an own-label environment. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Ability to analyze data and derive insights. Willingness to travel. Leadership, teamwork, customer focus, strategic thinking, problem-solving, excellent presentation skills, self-motivation.
