Our stunning care home, Cheadle Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility located in the popular area of Cheadle village, Stockport. The home is registered to provide care to 68 residents with a variety of needs, including residential and nursing care. It reflects the New Care vision of providing the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care. The home meets all CQC requirements and invests in the latest technology, offering a purposeful programme of daily activities and gentle exercises to enhance residents' wellbeing. All team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, with full induction and ongoing training provided by our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. The home is rated GOOD in all domains by CQC. We have maintained zero agency usage for over 4 years by employing a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care, with staff who know and residents who trust them. Across New Care, all staff are paid at least the national living wage. We are seeking to appoint kind, caring, and compassionateCare Assistantsto join our team. You will deliver quality care to residents in line with agreed Care Plans and contribute to the efficient running of the Care Home. We havefull-timecontracts available with an hourly rate of £11.50 - £11.70. Shift times are 07:45-20:00, with alternate weekend working. Role Responsibilities:Deliver “hands-on” care to residents in a person-centred way. Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life. Model best practice when delivering care. Assist residents in all aspects of their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in line with care plans. Contribute to daily records of residents. Participate in effective teamwork and undertake delegated tasks efficiently and effectively. Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults in contact with the post holder. Skills and Experience Required:Experience at Care Assistant level in a care environment is preferable. Care certificate or equivalent, or willingness to achieve this within the first 12 months of employment. Knowledge of good care practices for older people. Understanding of the 6 principles of care and their application in residential/nursing settings. Ability to work well in a team. Self-motivation and confidence.
