Location: Bideford, EX39 3AG, Barnstaple, EX31 4JB&Barnstaple, EX21 1QL Salary: £24625.00 to £25674.00 Date posted: 6th June 2025 Closing date: 18th June 2025 The North Devon Adult Community Mental Health Team is seeking to recruitan enthusiastic, flexible and multi-skilled administrator to join its busyadministration team. The Team support Mental Health Services across three sites in NorthDevon (Abbotsvale in Bideford, and two Health and Wellbeing Clinic sites inBarnstaple, one in Pilton and one at the North Devon District Hospital). It will be essential for the post holder to be able to travel across these three sites at short notice. You will be asked at application and interview stage to demonstrate how you meet this criteria. Main duties of the jobThe post holder will undertake administration of all office tasks insupporting the Community teams as well as covering the reception at all threesites when required. Main tasks will include meeting and greeting patients when covering reception, answering calls,when you will often be the first port of call; working from shared email inboxes,keeping Excel spreadsheets updated, generating letters and reports, uploadingthese onto our patient record system. There will be a requirement to prepare agendasfor meetings and take minutes. Training will be given to support you in your development within this role.You will require excellent communication, IT andorganisational skills, be able to remain calm and professional during busytimes or when handling difficult situations, and have the ability to adapt toconstant changes within the NHS. Person SpecificationQualificationsRSA 3 Word Processing or equivalent level of experience in practice. NVQ3 in administration or equivalent level administrative knowledge and experience GCSE English or equivalent Evidence of continuing professional and personal development ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence). ExperienceExcellent organisational skills Ability to prioritise workload and adapt to change when required Experience of dealing with confidential and complex information Previous experience of working within an administrative or secretarial team Ability to take accurate formal and informal minutes Previous experience of working in a Healthcare or Social Care administrative setting Analytical and Judgemental SkillsAble to plan, organise, prioritise, coordinate and work flexibly.
