We hope that one of the buttons below will help you.Faculty Lead - Arts, Creative Industries and LanguagesFaculty Lead - Arts, Creative Industries and LanguagesRole:Faculty Lead - Arts, Creative Industries and LanguagesLocation:The Corby Sixth FormSalary/Benefits:Salary up to £48,925 per annum DOE and Qualifications, Teacher's pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.Hours/Weeks:37 hours per weekContract Type:Permanent - Full TimeAbout the role:We are currently seeking a Faculty Lead in Arts, Creative Industries and Languages to join our Sixth Forms department at The Bedford College Group .As a Faculty Lead, you play an important role in the success of our students through:Strategic Leadership & Vision- Actively contribute to the extended leadership team, supporting the strategic direction of The Corby Sixth Form and aligning faculty goals with TBCG's overarching vision and values. Curriculum & Quality Management- Lead curriculum planning, teaching quality, and student outcomes across all subjects in the faculty, ensuring high standards through data-driven interventions, performance management, and enrichment activities. Team Leadership & Development- Line manage subject staff, oversee recruitment and induction, conduct appraisals, and foster a culture of continuous improvement through mentoring, coaching, and succession planning. Operational Oversight & Compliance- Manage faculty operations including timetabling, assessment, marketing, and budget control, while ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and college-wide policies and procedures. College Engagement & Safeguarding- Support cross-campus activities, open days, and exam invigilation, while upholding responsibilities for safeguarding, equality, health and safety, and ongoing professional development. About you:Qualifications & Expertise- Holds a degree and teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent), with recent professional development and deep knowledge of post-16 education and A Level provision.Must specialise in one of the following:Art (Fine Art, Graphics, Textiles, Photography) English Language or Literature Film Studies Media Studies French SpanishLeadership & Impact- Proven success in leading A Level improvements, raising achievement and retention, and implementing effective strategies aligned with sixth form accountability measures. Skills & Competencies- Strong communication, people management, and organisational skills, with the ability to lead teams, manage projects, analyse data, and make informed decisions under pressure. Values & Professionalism- Committed to educational values, continuous improvement, and high standards for staff and students, while maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and professional boundaries. Flexibility & Compliance- Willingness to travel and adapt working hours, with a strong understanding of safeguarding, equality, and health and safety, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
