The strategy is to grow organically and through M&A to build a leading group of industrial services and infrastructure maintenance providers that support critical assets, unlock the energy transition and deliver world-class service to customers. By joining forces, our group companies will benefit from customer cross-sell opportunities, shared back- office infrastructure, increased investment in staff training and a significantly improved financial profile.The RoleAs a core member of the executive leadership team, the IT leader will be responsible for shaping and executing a technology, data, insights and cyber roadmap that supports strategy-setting, innovation, compliance, and operational excellence across our business. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive impactful change in a complex and fast-moving private equity backed group that is seeking to set a new standard for its industry.A pragmatic leader transforming the businesses through exploitation of Technology and Data and to lead and deliver a new modern Platforms that will be used by external and internal users.This is a senior role, reporting directly to the CEO with significant exposure to the group board and investor.Responsible for creating and executing the IT strategy, aligned to the business strategy to deliver results with key responsibilities:Define and implement a scalable end-to-end target state architecture, aligned with key exit initiativesDrive commercial insights using data as a key enabler in delivering the business strategyBalance hands-on technical problem-solving with strategic, commercial thinkingDeliver best-in-class IT operations, overseeing third-party vendors across networking,infrastructure, and securityLead and develop a lean IT function spanning Support, Development, PMO, and InfrastructureDrive business-focused innovation through practical, differentiating tech solutionsOwn vendor relationships, including license and contract management across Hosting and Cyber SOCLead the Groups Cyber capability to ensure secure and stable environments to enable the business to function.Engage and influence senior stakeholders, including at Board levelLead the charge on innovation, exploiting data, automation, AI and GenAIExperience Must haveExperience in the field services sectorProven track record as a senior technology leader (at least 5 years' experience), with a track recordof building and developing teamsDemonstrated success in digital and data transformation in traditional environments, includingautomation and process improvementStrong background in data strategy, including MDM and data governanceSkilled in leveraging BI tools for actionable business insightsFamiliarity with modern cloud and data center platformsFull ownership of departmental budgets (Opex and Capex)Hands-on experience with IT integration in M&A, including operational migration andimplementationSolid understanding of information and cyber security principlesDegree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)Personal characteristicsStrong communicator with a pragmatic, solutions-focused mindsetPassionate about tackling new challenges with resilience and determinationCommercially savvy with strategic vision and business acumenLow ego, adaptable, and thrives in dynamic environmentsProactive, hands-on, and execution-drivenCreative thinker with the ability to challenge norms and drive innovationAble to deconstruct complex programmes into bite-size deliverablesRemote working/work at home options are available for this role.
