Locum Clinical PharmacistNorfolk35 per hour (Umbrella)Are you the right applicant for this opportunity Find out by reading through the role overview below.My client based in Norfolk are looking for a Locum Clinical Pharmacist experience in A&E or Women & Childrens' Services. You'll be required on-site with 1 day remote available as well as remote clinical screening 1 shift per month at the weekend. There are no on-calls as part of this role. You'll be responsible for:Dispensing: Ensuring accurate and safe dispensing of medications to patients.Prescribing: Collaborating with prescribers to optimize medication selection and dosage.Manufacturing: Preparing and quality-checking sterile medications.Purchasing and Testing: Acquiring and ensuring the quality of medicines.Stock Management: Managing hospital pharmacy stock levels and ensuring adequate supplies.Quality Control: Implementing quality control measures for manufactured and purchased medications.Patient Care:Counselling: Providing patients with information about their medications, including dosages, potential side effects, and how to use them correctly. Monitoring: Monitoring patient progress and effectiveness of medications. Medication Reconciliation: Ensuring accurate and complete information about patient medications during transitions of care. Adverse Drug Reaction Reporting: Identifying and reporting medication errors or near misses. Patient Education: Educating patients about their drug therapy and promoting adherence. Collaboration and Support:Clinical Input: Providing clinical pharmacy services to inpatients and outpatient services. Teamwork: Working closely with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to optimize patient care. Research and Development: Participating in research and development of new medications and therapies. Drug Budget Management: Contributing to the management of drug budgets and resources. Guideline Development: Developing and implementing guidelines for medication use.
