You will be responsible for maintaining continuous contact with the company drivers daily and collaborating closely with the Transport Manager on all transport issues. The successful candidate will contribute to identifying improvement opportunities and initiatives with the transport team and holding monthly reviews. The Supervisor will also be responsible for updating the compliance and legislation for the company fleet of vehicles. Responsibilities: Overseethe smooth operation of the allocated transport shift, ensuring that necessary resources (such as personnel and equipment) are available to meet planned activity levels. Adhere toall statutory legislation, including Employment and Health and Safety regulations within the transport department. Effectively communicateall aspects of the job to employees. Supervisevehicle maintenance and monitor defects and faults. Document and reportall vehicle and driver incidents and accidents through the appropriate channels. Plan and coordinateroutes for drivers, ensuring timely dispatch. Stay up-to-date withand implement CPC and Tachograph requirements. Motivate and traindrivers to deliver excellent customer service, exceeding customer expectations. Followprocesses and procedures related to the transport operation and debrief drivers according to company requirements. Assist inrecruiting transportation staff as needed. Evaluatestaff performance, providing feedback to employees and the Transport Manager, identifying areas for improvement. Maintain open communicationwith drivers regarding shift matters and working processes. Cultivate and manageeffective working relationships. Key Skills: Ensure your CPC is up-to-date. Having a forklift license is beneficial. Demonstrated ability in planning and overseeing transport operations. Proven track record in planning and problem-solving. Show initiative and a positive attitude. Adaptability is key. Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
