We are looking to recruit a new Reception Supervisor to bepart of our large reception team of 16. The role of a supervisor is to be the first point of contactfor patients contacting the surgery and to support the reception team in theday to day running of the reception function. The supervisor will deal withescalated issue, more complex enquires and will also be the point of contactbetween the clinical and reception team. The supervisor must present a caring, welcoming, andprofessional demeanour at all times. You will be supported in this role by the Lead Supervisorand Operations Manager. Working pattern: 37.5hrs per week over 4 days made up of:3 x 8am-6.30pm, 1 x 8am-4pm, 1 x day off each week. You will expected to work across all three of our sites. Please note, due to the nature of this role, home working isnotavailable. Main duties of the jobYou will be professional and efficient and be able to workunder pressure at all times, welcoming patients and visitors to the practice ina friendly and professional manner. Working as part of a large reception team,you will be required to deal with patients both face to face and over thetelephone ensuring a high level of patient care is maintained at all times. About usWe are a large training practice based at Leylands Lane,Heaton with branch surgeries at Haworth Rd, Heaton and Wrose Rd, Wrose. Patient population of 19,000 Job responsibilitiesDuties to include: Answering calls, booking appointments and dealing withenquires Speaking to and resolving escalated patient concerns andescalating to the operations manager as needed Supporting, training and coaching the reception team Managing reception rota on a day to day basis Assist the duty doctor will managing patient flow Assigning tests to clinicians Allocating home visits Amending and checking clinical rotas to support servicedelivery Supporting the Practice with urgent tasks Working with the operations manager to improve receptionprocess Equipment management Clinical room allocation Premises maintenance and repair (reporting and arranging) Follow Practice policies and procedures Any other reasonable task As first point of contact for this busy GP Practice you willbe expected to be professional and efficient and be able to work under pressureat all times, welcoming patients and visitors to the practice in a friendly andprofessional manner. Person SpecificationQualificationsGCSE grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths Experience- A high level of knowledge of reception duties within a GP practice. - A good understanding of Systmone. - A friendly, approachable and positive nature.
