We have an opportunity for afull-time Assistant Chefto join theSite Services team . This role involves supporting our Chef in maintaining a busy, quality-focused food service to support our growing customer base. This position is based in a small commercial setting, involving both kitchen and servery (customer-facing) duties. It does not require weekend or late evening work. Responsibilities include: Assisting and deputising for the Chef in providing daily breakfast, lunch, and hospitality services, including taking site orders and supporting periodic events. Preparing and delivering refreshments for meetings and buffet spreads as required. Preparing, cooking, and finishing dishes under the instruction of the Chef. Attending the servery counter to take orders, process payments, and serve customers. Completing food and temperature charts and performing routine cleaning of the kitchen and servery areas daily, including appliances and surfaces. Assisting in planning weekly menus, stock orders, and receiving catering provisions. Practicing good food hygiene and upholding health 'safety and environmental policies related to kitchen service. Stocking vending machines and out-of-hours refreshments at two local locations. Performing other duties as assigned by the Site & Facilities Manager to support restaurant services. Qualifications and Skills: Previous retail kitchen or catering experience. Ability to work as part of a team under varying service pressures. A recognized hygiene and food preparation qualification/certificate. Common sense and ability to use initiative. Awareness of allergens, food preparation controls, and dietary needs.
