As part of the wider Doocey Group, we combine decades of industry knowledge with modern technology to keep people, projects and communities moving safely and smoothly.The RoleThe Design and Planning Administrator will provide key administrative support in managing traffic management permits and planning applications, ensuring compliance with local regulations and facilitating efficient traffic flow during construction or maintenance projects. The role involves coordinating permit applications, liaising with local authorities, and assisting in the planning and scheduling of traffic management operations, as well as maintaining accurate records, assisting in processing applications and communicating updates to stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesAssist in preparing and submitting traffic management permit applicationsLiaise with local councils and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with traffic management lawsSupport in the scheduling and planning of road closures, diversions and other traffic management measuresMaintain up-to-date records and databases related to permits, traffic management plans and applicationsProvide administrative support to permit renewals and extensionsMonitor and track the status of applications, ensuring timely approvalsAssist in the preparation of traffic management plans in line with project requirements Respond to queries from both internal and external stakeholdersEnsure all required documentation is completed, accurate and submitted within the required deadlinesManagement of shared inboxes, ensuring prompt responses and escalation where requiredThe PersonHas excellent organisational skillsPays strong attention to detailCommunicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writingWorks independently but is also a reliable and supportive team playerCan manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environmentCan follow instructions accuratelyTechnical Skills & ExperiencePrevious experience working in an administrative role within a traffic management environment is preferred but not essentialAdministrative experienceWea re open to school leavers with no work experience if they demonstrate the right skills and aptitude for the roleQualifications & TrainingGCSEs Grade 9-4 or equivalentComprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Microsoft Word, Outlook and ExcelAdditional InformationDoocey Group value a diverse workforce and welcome applications form all sections of the community, regardless of any protected characteristics.Please note that we operate with a preferred supplier list and will not accept unsolicited CVs from recruitment agencies with whom we do not have an existing agreement.By submitting your application, you consent to Doocey Group retaining your CV, application details, and personal information for the purpose of considering you for current and future employment opportunities.
