Job Description

We are helping a well-known UK wholesale bank, with a focus on emerging markets, with their search for a new Head of Treasury Regulatory Reporting who can start ASAP. This is the second of two newly created roles they have in their Treasury team. You will lead a small team responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation and submission of the Banks Regulatory Returns and to enhance balance sheet management via effective Treasury processes. The head office is in London. They are happy to consider people who just want an interim assignment as well as those who prefer to transition to a perm role longer term.Want to make an application Make sure your CV is up to date, then read the following job specs carefully before applying.Role DescriptionResponsible for the preparation and submission of all required regulatory reports covering a UK investment firm, bank and holding company including COREP, FINREP and Bank of England reportingImprovement of existing processes looking to streamline processes, resolve outstanding issues and enhance accuracy of the reporting process. Update and enhance the existing process notes, documenting the key interpretation and assumptions including the controls and checks etcPreparation of daily and monthly MI packs for various committees like ALCO, Board Risk Committee, Board etcKeep abreast of regulatory developments as they pertain to liquidity and capital for the banking industry. Summarize ethe impact of such changes and communicate them internally with senior stakeholdersAssist the Treasurer in the preparation of key treasury documentation including ICAAP, ILAAP & Recovery PlanSupport the Treasurer in all Treasury activities for example asset deployment, enhancing the Funds Transfer Pricing model and structural hedgingAttend, present and act as secretary for the monthly ALCO members of which include the CFO and CEORole RequirementsQualified Accountant preferredExperience in the financial services industry at least part of which must have been in either the Treasury or Regulatory Reporting function of a bankStrong understanding of liquidity and capital regulationAnalytical and detail focusedStrong excel skillsStrong communication skills both written and verbalComfortable reading and understanding Prudential Risk RegulationsIs capable of leading and developing junior members of the team
